How Megganet works

Telephone line based Broadband is provided by a variety of resellers such as ourselves, Titan, Virgin and BT retail amongst many others.  All of us, even BT (eventually) get our broadband from a (supposedly) separate company called BT Wholesale.  They distribute broadband services to resellers and are monitored by Ofcom.

When we receive a broadband commitment, we pass the details on to our wholesaler for processing.

The system is the same for any company which provides broadband through a telephone line.

If incompatible equipment is found on your line (such as a DAX) or there is any thing which can cause a delay, we will let you know ASAP and estimate a resolution time.  We keep you posted if there are any relevant updates by E-mail.  If you dont have an email address - dont worry, we will get a free one for you to use after your broadband goes live. If you give us your mobile number we can update you by text. 

We will get an estimated line activation date from our wholesaler.  At htis point we can confirm this estimate with you.  Any equipment you have ordered by post will be dispatched by royal mail.

The next notification is a confirmed line activation.  If you have arranged an engineer install, we will contact you to make arrangements and get directions etc.

Our installers are very experienced computer engineers, so feel free to ask about security, protecting your family, networking, servers, computers, laptops and so on.
